overheating

ok, the car is overheating. its a 99 alero 3400. no heat coming out of the vents, lower radiator hose is warm(not hot) upper hose is hot. going through fluid. im going to replace the water pump, and thermostate. could the lower intake manifold gasket cause this also(please say no)

the car has 68000 on it.

My LIM gasket went at around 40k. You might be able to tell if it is leaking--look along the joint between the LIM and valve cover. My water pump went bad about the same time--it was pretty obvious.

yeah have the same car have that problem too just learned to never drive without having my a/c on or have the front window defroster on...this causing me from overheating if i dont have one of those on it will overheat my car
