Wtf

Ok I had to move my car and noticed that my brake light does not work when I apply the brake but the light is lit while the lights are on? Is it the bulb? It's still lit while the lights are on...I dunno. Any suggestions?

^ on the outers, it's the same bulb. replace the bulbs and you should be fine.

question, is the 3rd light (center) working properly? if so, it's the bulbs. if not, make sure the 3rd light's bulbs are okay. if that doesn't solve the problem, you have a wiring issue.

It could be the brake light switch.

Nope not brake switch. If that was the case, you cannot shift from P to R or D

Not true, well at least I think. On my truck (chevy colorado) the brake light switch went out and there is a recall on it. I could shift from park to drive just fine. The only way to tell the switch was bad is the cruise control would not work, or someone would tell you your brake lights were not working.
