Thumbs up

I was just curiuos if anyone here has expericed some of the things i have. 1. the dash curled up i guess form the heat & it shrunked a bit that it now woesn't even reach the end of the dash if u pull it. I ended up using some spray adheiseve to get it down as best i could. It looks better but u can still tell it got messed up.

And secondly, I was wondering if anyone has had problems with there blinkers sometimes not working. It's as if they have a mind of there own or something. I particurally notice they don't usually work in the moring when i first use my car.
There is a recall on 2000 aleros and some other yr i forgot about the relay switch.

Agains just wondering if anyone on here has had the same problems

the dash is fairly common, as is the blinker problem you are having...did the recall get done on your car?(if it applies)

i don't even know if the recall was done on mine yet...but if it has, my four way flasher switch is dead again.....it'll click on and off like as if the turn signal is on, but isn't...and no light gets shown....super weird..

just call dealer, ask if recall has(can) be done on your car...they'll tell ya...should be free too

Well the thing that is weird is we called oldmobile and told them about it and they were going to look into it. That was sometime during the summer. So then yesterday get a letter talking about the recall and a buncha other stuff it doesn't really explain if they'll do it or not. B/c they say my vin number say it's already been done... i dono weird stuff
Just wish it could get done it's just pain not having a blinker when u really need it

if ur blinker continues to not work, just roll your window down and do hand signals for your turns.

My turn signals hadnt been working right for about six months so I just pushed the hazard switch in and out to get them to work. I just got that notice as well so I am going to take my car to get it fixed soon.

u guys and your excuses as to why u cant use hand signals are ridiculous. my buddy that had the juiced van had to use hand signals, and his windshield wipers didnt work, so he stuck his head out the window ace ventura style to see in the rain. so quit your bitching.

sometimes u have to make sacrifices to drive something this badass. besides, until she gets the turnsignals to work, handsignals would be sweet to use. i dont really care if she actually uses them or not. i was just stating it as a joke, and still think it'd be funny to see her using hand signals.

well, for me, the turn signals work when the heat is on full blast in the face. Sucks in the summer, but it works. (I don't know why though!)

BTW: I just got my recall paperwork (a letter) yesterday. It might be little while longer if you just got the car.

Here is what my letter reads "This letter is intended to make you aware that some 1999 model year Oldsmobile Alero vehicles may have a condition where the turn signal/hazard warning flashers become inoperative."

Then it goes to talk about that this leter is not really a "recall" and only take your car in to get it fixed if you are having problems with your turn signal/hazard warning flashers. If nothing is wrong with them they will not fix it. It can be fixed within 10 years or 150,000 miles from the date your vehicle was placed in service.
