Burnin' Rubber
Well,
Not yet, since I just got my car, I'm used to it, but still not completely. Anyways, yesterday I was about to pull out of a gas station when an idiot almost hit my corner. Anyways, I got a little road raged and pressed on the gas and I heard my tires burn for like .40 milliseconds before gripping lol. But has anyone floored it and how long did it burned for?

But,
This is considering I have the 3.4 V6 No upgrades yet, still think it can do it? A Nissan Maxima 2.3 will do it easily (No upgrades on this car as well), I feel this car is heavier though.

why do it, its not too good for the tranny lol
brake torque it, rev to 1400, let off the brake and floor it, then turn the steering wheel left and right enough to keep the tires from getting traction (afaik)

burn outs are stupid unless for traction reasons at the track. Id rather accelerate hard than make some stupid noise and wreck my tires.

Depends on what tires I had on. Stock al-seasons would light up, the Falkens would do it on anything wet or dirty, and the Cooper snows would do it when I wasn't careful applying throttle.

if you want to, it will squeal a bit. especially when you have the wheel turned one way or another and punch the gas. they won't if you have the traction control on though.

really?!? if I try to do it, my "Low Trac" light comes on. if i'm lucky, i'll get a squeak. i have to have my traction control off and then let the rubber fly.

IF I get on it a lot, I'll get serious wheel hop, and it feels horrible, but with my track wheels, I can spin them up.
If I turn off my traction contorl, sometimes I can smoke'em up, and in the rain, I can brake them lose while I'm moving, so I gotta be careful

So,
If you take Trac off, it'll be easier? Of course, like many said, not good for your car at all, lol.

Ya, without traction control you spin both wheels, and obviously traction control is supposed to try and control the traction so you don't lose it.

I wouldn't suggest trying to burn rubber in an alero
just sounds like a horrible idea
unless its at a track

Yea,
Even after taking off the Trac, it wouldn't spin, yet when I stepped on the gas at a stop light, it did, of course, it's raining so that helped. The car, lol, however, started going sideways. Which was cool, not for the guy next to me however >_<
I'll leave it at that

and it does that by shutting off fuel injectors, leaning out the air fuel ratio, and retarding the timing. my pcm is setup to not allow those terrible things.
