Since I installed my CAI i have noticed the mileage has been worse. If I am in the peddle it is bad obviously. If I am driving normal (compared to other people) I am losing about 30 miles on the trip. I honestly never figured out the miles per gallon before and after but just wondering how everyone else's experiences are? thanks

I've had both a cai and wai and mine had better gas mileage w/ both, except when I didn't change my filter on my CAI for about 6,000 miles then it dropped way down, maybe you just need to clean your filter real good.

With a CAI or WAI, you have got to keep the filter clean to keep the performance and gas mileage up.

I bought mine yesterday from Advance Auto Parts.
K&N Filter Recharger Kit
Was like $10, took an hour to clean. Immediately noticed a difference.
(Haven't cleaned my filter since last spring )

MPG should increase with either set-up, esp on the highway.
Just keep the filter clean

does exhaust matter, is it assumed that if you have a cai or wai that they have an aftermarket exhaust too?

It does help
If you're sucking in more air you have to push more out
