Different crank.
Different block also.
The block from the TGP's has a high nickel content to accommodate the boost.

You can make 250hp on a bone stock engine with proper fuel upgrades. A built 3400 on 10-12psi with a decent sized turbo would put you in the 300-325whp range I'm guessing. Then you'll want to look into forged pistons and rods, and basically everything [ion] C2 mentioned. Blackjack would be the guy to talk to about the specifics on a turbo 3400.

traded several pm with blackjack today and forged pistons are not needed but he said if im rebuilding put them in. he knows his s#@t. the tranny is the issue he said needs to be upgraded for turbo with 10 + psi of boost. stock set up is good for up to 8 but any more stuff is going to start to go south. i would like to get a new motor and rebuid it and invite everyone to the track to see how much nos a stock gls can take

not to sound like an ahoe, but if you're going for about 300-350hp, you're going to need a t3/t4 hybrid with around .70 AR or so, and at least 42.5# injectors, boost ref. AFPR, and a high volume fuel pump as far as fueling goes.

I gotta agree with this. According to my guessitmate, with running in the mid to high 14's with the car's weight, I have around 240 at the crank and putting down around 207
