Vibration in my Alero
Hey guys, recently my Alero has begun to have alot of vibration coming from the front of my car. I thought it was my wheels out of balance, so I had it balanced, and it was still there, I then thought maybe it was bad tires, I checked them and they are good, not even 6 months old. I have taken it to 3 different tire shops and they can't find anything. The vibration really gets bad around 55-60 MPH. I was wondering if anyone has experienced this problem or knows what it is because it is really annoying! Please help! Thanks.

55ish to 70mph is ur wheels aren't balanced.. if they are balanced then ur wheel or wheels is bent.

is there a vibration when braking??? do you hear a low humming noise?? maybe wheel bearing?? very possible the wheels could be bent do you hear a clunking noise, then it could be the steering shaft, or mounting or bearing plates
explain deeper about the problem

that was happening to me and it actually ended up being my rotors.
on the highway, my car would vibrate and if i touched the brakes it would get a lot worse
my rotors were warped and one of my calipers wasn't releasing causing it to vibrate

sounds like a wheel bearing.

Well to further explain the problem, there is vibration no matter what speed I'm going, but as soon as i get to 50-60mph it gets a heck of alot worse, also if I slightlyturn the wheel to the left (not even enough to turn my car) the vibration gets ridiculous where it feels like my car is falling apart. It is definately not a balancing issue or alignment issue because I just had both of those things done twice at different shops, and those shops can't find the problem either. Thanks for all the info. so far I really appreciate, so please keep the help coming, because I don't know to much about the suspension of the Alero. Also if it helps I do have a Eibach Springs lowering kit to, there is no rubbing at all with my wheels in the wheel wells, oh and my wheels are not bent either I had checked those myself and also had the shops check em to. So let me know if you have any more ideas, thanks guys!

so excatly how far can you turn the wheel before the car starts turning ?
put key in ignition and unlock steering wheel turn steering wheel back and forth to see how much play is in it. there should be none to very very very slight. if any movement could be inner or outer tie rod ends

is there vibration when you hit the brakes?? is the pedal vibrating?? steering wheel vibrate if so then your rotors are wraped, and the calipers could be bound up as well

My brother had this problem with his truck, vibration at highway speeds, he had the tires balenced several times all at different shops, had it aligned a couple times but it didn't go away. I gave him my old mud tires from my truck and the vibration went away, so we concluded that one of the tires were out of round.

I had that problem. I think one of your tires are out of round. They say old suspension can cause stuff like that. My tires had gotten little knots on them.
