Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone has installed aftermarket foglights/driving lights on their Alero. I just bought an 01 GX and it did not come with factory foglights. Also, is it possible to splice into the lowbeams so that they come on with the lights or is it better to wire them to a separate switch?

I got the same problem with my 04 Alero, I was wondering if anyone had any good CHEAP aftermarket suggestions for fog/driving lights.

ebay is a good suggestion, they have some good ones and most are cheap. as far as the switch you could splice it so they come on with the low beems, but you wont have complete control of them, just depends what you want.

I have these http://www.classicgarage.com/classic...ionprojfo.html , they look real nice I think and are brighter than stock. Only problem is I bought them thinking the light was gonna be clear since the lense is kinda blue but the light beam is yellow. Oh well, still better than stock lol, real easy to install and wire up too. I have them wired to the switch that came with the kit, but you can wire them up as fog or driving lights, they give you directions on where to splice into for each set up.

Well, I was thinking about my fogs today... up until now, I've only had them mounted with double-sided tape, but I came outa the house this morn and saw that one was hanging loose, so I yanked them both. Where have people screwed in their AM fogs? Is it better to do on the bumper, or the black piece behind it (air damn if I'm not correct)?

Mine are mounted on the same black plastic thing the stock ones were mounted on. I just took it off (2 bolts, you'll have to take the headlights out to get to them) lined up the after market ones and drilled holes.

I saw a pair of stock fog lights houseings on ebay today
There in no such thing as a good and cheap set of foglights.
3A racing have a remote control wiring harness so you don't have to drill. It also comes with a set of fogs. I think it was about $75. I had it on my Cav and it's a nice, and soild setup

 I have cheap ass foglights from Canadian tire
I plan to get a set of stock ones, but I wired them myself and put the switch where the traction control button should be (since my GX lacks TC)
