Forgive me if this has already been said but a search found nothing. How do you remove the front speakers? I have a 2000 GLS with the separate tweeters, and i know how to remove them, but not the speakers themselves. Thanks for all your help. Also, does anyone have any thoughts about 8 inch subs, im thinking about getting them, but not sure if they are the sound I want, just ideas what you all think.

i know there is a thread on it somwheres here, just cant find it...

basically there is 3 screws you pull off.

Two under a little pop off tab right behind the handle

one behind the red reflector thing

Then u basically pull the door off, there is little retainer screws that just pop out with enough force.. Be careful! they are easy to brreak, and hard to find new ones.

then you see the speaker and there is 4 screws around that, take those out and you can pop out that little black piece.

i know these directions are crappy, put look around here you'll find ebtter ones.

RE: your 8"

(haha)

will give you real tight bass in a sealed box or louder not so tight bass in a ported box. If you lsiten to a lot of rap or dance get a 10 or 12, but an 8 would be better suited for the tighter rock bass.

hope this jumpble helped a little

yeah, laugh about the 8", I had a 15, but too much power and too much bass...(although, it went boom). I was thinking a 10", but need the space in my trunk from moving back and fourth from school. If anyone has suggestions about what will sound good, or what they have, will be greatly appreciated...and always any information, whether it be bad, or good, is always good information. Thanks a million

I understand how your feeing. I am in the same situation. My last car had a 15 inch sub that was cool for about six months. After that I realized that I was not getting the sound that I realy wanted. I Have been without a sub for over a year now and still have no idea as to what size that I want to go with. I was considering eights for the tight bass and lack of space. But, I have heard some nice tens that give a good overall sound as well. It is kind of strange. I can listen to a pair of mids and highs and under a minute know exactly what I want. When it comes to subs, it seems that either my taste keeps changing or I just haven't found that particular one yet. Good luck and I am sure you will find it.
