Question Pertaining to A/C
Ok my car is making a knocking noise but it is only happening when the A/C is turned on. This noise has been happening ever since i put my motor back in and i can't figure out why! I would figure if it was cause it was loose somewhere it probably would have came off by now...

how loud is this knock? mine (when the clutch worked) would sound like its very own little engine when I turned it on.. but it works 100% and blows ice cold air.. so I dont worry about it.. especially on a hot and humid summer day.. the ice cold air over poweres the little knocking sound lol

the knock is loud outside the car but you cant hear it when you turn the radio up lol. My A/C still works, sometimes it doesnt blow as cold as other times,
the knock sounds so loud i thought it was a lifter or rod knocking at first. if it wasnt pouring outside i would go record it but looking at the radar looks like someone sneezed on it.

The a/c clutch may be loose, maybe use a charge,
Try tighting the a/c clutch bolts. Should be pretty easy to get to with the car up on a ramp, if that doesn't work, the compressor may be going

blah.. my compressor pissed me off the other day- and that bolt I took off of it.. now that I think about it.. I never put it back on the pulley LOL
so im driving around with no bolt holding on the clutch or pulley- guess that thing is really on there.. broke a tool that I got from the auto parts store trying to get the damn pulley off too..
200 pounds of ass (me) and a crowbar didnt even budge it either.. so I dont know.

The problem i had, actually had nothing to do with a/c. Turns out the sc rews that go to the torque converter from the flywheel had come out and that is what was causing the noise... Problem is fixed now tho and all is good
