Dont do it.

While it does improve the shifts, THe only thing it is doing is increasing the line presssure..

If you want harder shifts, spend the money to beef up the tranny by replacing the springs, and the check balls.

You'll wear the tranny much faster with an interceptor. they're stupid.

i have one, and with 34,000 miles, its worked good, i have it adjusted to shift a bit firmer, not harsh, but better. i agree a better tranny is better, but when isnt something built for a specific purpose better?

what do you think a DHP reprogram does?? increase in line pressure
bottom line...you want better shifts on the cheap...get one...if you got cash...get a DHP or a new trans from domestic performance

For MY cash, I'd buy the B&M elec. shift improver kit. Pretty much does the same thing, but I have an easier time trusting people that have based their rep on tranny work....

I like my interceptor. Does increase line pressures to sharpen the shifts, but pretty much any shift kit does this, just in different ways.

Your approach doesn't entirely work, as, the computer will see shorter shift times, and thous adapt down shift pressure within reason.
