Thumbs up

Well guys...... I dunno what the hell the prollem is...

Ever since I installed Intrax and got new wheels the car pulled to the right.
This morning I brought it in for a 4-wheel allignment.
The toe-in was off, and everything else including camber(phew!) was apperantly ok.

The guy fixed everything and took it for a spin....he said it still pulled a little and he said its something with the tires.

The allignment didnt do crap for me except cost me 70.00.... issed:
I'm looking for any ideas or suggestions as to what is causing this problem, because I dont want to wear out my tires and its VERY annoying to drive.

-Pulls to right, VERY noticable at higher speeds(55mph)
-Sometimes steering wheel shakes, VERY noticable at higher speeds(55mph)

....Im stumped.....

I do have 4 1/2" bolt pattern wheels...but I also have hub-centric rings. I also doubt they are out of balance...but maybe one is??????

Any input would be much appreciated.... Thanks abunch

well, well.... someone with the same problem as me.... my car pulls extremely hard to the right and i have extreme shaking around 60-70 mph's, i also have aftermarket rims but i don't have hubcentric rings, my rims are the exact, exact same bolt size/pattern as the stock ones.... i've had this problem for quite awhile now... i've had one dealership and three different independent mech's look at it... this is what i've fixed/replaced/etc. : four tie rods, two wheeel/bearing hub assemblies, new tires, two alignment's by different shops, balanced and re-balanced.... nobody has been able to fix this problem for me... i'm afraid something could be wrong with my axle or something really serious like that... here's a link to a thread i posted-----> shaking!

I've just recently developed the exact same problem.

I took a 100+ mile trip a couple weekends ago.
And on the interstate at 70+mph the car would go between periods of shaking and then it would stop for a while, then it would shake again. I also have the pulling to the right problem, it seems to be worse when it's shaking.

have you checked your hubcentric rings? theyre pretty weak and may have been broken or just placed wrong.

The pulling to the sides was happening to my car before i got it and at the dealer they put in a strut bearing i think and it has fixed the problem. But it still shakes at high speeds during the first 10 minutes or so of driving then it seems to smooth out.

well.....I rotated the tires today. Didnt help at all... issed:

Hubcentric rings are fine, brakes are fine, and tire pressure was same on all four tires. (i checked all those things) I'll take the tires in for re-balencing just to be sure

anyone else have any idea????????????
mfuller?? Hes a smart guy right?? help! lol!!!

Luckly I dont drive the car much so Im able to deal with it for the time being.

I had the problem too

Had to have the hub replaced, worked for a bit, now same problem. I think my other hub is going too but after reading these posts I'm thinking the rack for me too.

I get a horrible creeking when I cut the wheel hard right but only below 10 MPH. Going to the dealer this week to find out
