ASS 2009 packing checklist
Everybody asks, "What do I have to bring to ASS to make it better, eaiser and more fun?"
Here's a list, and no flaming, what may be obvious to some, might not be to others. The * items are a must!!! - Alero *
- Money *
- Contact Numbers
- Sunscreen *
- Aloe or cooling gel *
- Citronella candles (the bigger the better)
- camping chairs *
- Pop-up canpoy or tent
- iPod (for that long ride)
- extra change of clothes for after Friday's and Saturday's show
- Car cleaning stuff *
- 2 way radios *
- Any "display" items for the show (stuff toys, pics, etc)
- Camera and/or video camera *
Not really required to be on the list becasue we don't need everybody to bring one, but coolers would be a great idea too.

so don't bring 200lbs of tools. you absolutely won't use all of them. bring essentials.
and the canopy is up to you. talk to scott.. he usually brings the big stuff.
EDIT: can't mention ass packing w/o bring up steph. http://www.aleromod.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19755 avoid this while travelling!

^^ I still don't see how that car was totalled
Yes tools are a must, but bring only what is needed for simple repairs. You are not going to rebuild an engine in the hotel parking lot
As for the MPG, you'll do fine. Last year my trunk was full right to the lid and then I had stuff in the back seat. The tops of my rear tires were even with the fenders, and I still got 34 MPG, 32 MPG in PA. You milage in PA will suck, since you'll be driving in the mountains

and if you don't have something stated above (from previous experience) someone will. like sunscreen. I'm not saying don't bring it, but if you forget it, don't panic. someone's got ya covered.

Dont bother with sea Foam. Get GM Top End Cleaner.
Advance Auto raised the price of sea Foam from $6 to $9 now. The GM stuff is $10. its a no brainer now.

Plus Walmart is 3 mintues away in one direction and Target is 6 minutes in the other direction.
10 minutes up the road is the Lansing Mall.
McDonalds is across the street
