DVD Head Unit Install

Alright; I'm ready to drop about 6 or 7 bills on a DVD head unit. I'm mainly wanting to see the diffrence between a Flip Screen; where and what it covers on the dash, vs. the viewing angle of a fixed screen.

However after abusing the search button, finding pics of installed units are hard to come by.

Think we can get an aftermarket Head unit (DVD or Not) install pic only thread going?

I dont like the flip outs. It blocks the vents...

If you dont mind a little modding, here is a wicked deal...

7" screen, $290 shipped.

This is the same EXACT model I plan on buying the next time my student loan refunds come in. I like this one because it has different viewing angles (tilt). I was going to ask you Ryan about this and if it fits or if I would have to mod it to fit. Also check your PM's for the info on my system.

I stuffed a pioneer avic-D3 in mine i had to use a hammer and chisel and pound the strap off the support bar back about 1/4" so it would fit all the way back in. i still havent put the bezel back on i just have the climate controls dangling.

i know this is a kinda old thread, but here's a shot of mine. i don't like the flip up kind... they get in the way and they seem flimsy to me.

it's the same one alerosaint has too (saw his in his car, loved it). i really like it because you can change the screen and the button light colors to anything. i have mine set as close as i could get to the instrument panel, just so it looks more stock.
