2000+ Aurora Headlight Conversion
Anybody ever think of this? I love the Aurora headlights (the whole front end for that matter) on the 2000+ models.
The Aurora is about 2 inches wider than an alero and the hood / front end has a slightly similar shape. I think its possible with some competent cutting and fiberglassing, no? I know the hood would need altered as well.
Anybody have photoshop handy?

Hood, bumper cover, fenders, supports, and wiring would all need to be changed. It is possible, might look ok but i wouldn't know til i see it. Anything is possible with the right amount of money, time, and skills. You could put any headlight ever made in if you really wanted to.

Fiberglassing.. only if you have a fiberglass front bumper...
If it's metal.. weld.
If it's plastic, have fun, better off just getting a fiberglass front bumper instead.
It's pretty do able.. .if ya want an interesting project go for it!

not to bring up an old topic but the aurora headlights actually aren't that much different however the low beams will suck unless you have HID's ( I use to own one and they suckd without HID's the alero low beams are stronger then the aurora was ) from what I see it may just fit in without any issues if any minor. Wireing will be the same their both the same bulbs highs and lows and in the same spots it even seems as if its the same off the mounts and bolting area ( well close )

Rob is correct, the low beams suck unless you have HID's. I had thought about this a few years ago when I got my Rora. I have these spares from my Rora when I bought a spare set to color match and clear the corners on the Rora.
It would require mods to the fender and bumper and the area behind the lights to make it work. You might even be able to modify the guts to fit inside the Alero headlight. Below are some pics that I took of a rough fit.

I MIGHT buy a set for cheap and possibly see if ill do it im not 100% sure yet tho all depends on how cheap and how much I remb to do it or not and if I do buy it then I might as well do the angel eyes with it like I was going to do with the aurora I had anyways lol
