new guy from ny, tring to mod my alero
hey guys, im matt from saratoga ny. i have a 2001 alero i bouight off my gf last spring for 1500, most reliable car ive ever owned. recently i decided i missed having a modded car, so i started doing some reaserch
on a local craigslist i found a 2001 z24 which obviously has the ld9 2.4 gm motor. it was heavily modded and he was parting it out
from him im buying a dc sports 4-2-1 headde4r with 2.5" test pipe and coustom cat pipe, aem cold air intake, venom fuel rail, coustom chrome and blue quad 4 valve cover, coustom cat back (technically itll be a headder back) using 2.25 from the car to the axel and 2.5 to the axel to the greddy evo2 muffler. should be hella loud and eibach springs and kyb gr-2 struts
right now i have a spair trunk lid i jnust bought an invader wing for it and im gonna get a french lisence plate kit and french the plate along with shaving the taillights possibly and doing small led strips for the tunk lights
currently i have 20,000k hid hi/lows and 3000k fogs, and 4 12" alpine tyoe rs on a soundstream 3400.1 at .5 ohms.
cant wait to see how this come out, good to be here guys

welcome to the site. mod your car the way you like it. not how someone else like it.

I assume you're talking about a Z-24 cavalier? If that's the case the struts won't work, and I really doubt the exhaust system will.

Yeah Exhaust is one of those things that has to fit the engine and the body. I've run into this many times since I've been modding.
20,000K HID's? Can you see at night? IMHO anything 8,000K and up is pointless, because starting at 8K they are getting darker.
The plate kit is cool. People on here have done that, but just say no to a wing. Stock Alero or Grand Am wing is the way to go
Yes, the springs will not fit your car. They do make an Eibach kit for the "N" body

Fogs are NOT headlights. Fogs are for use in dense fog... NOT for seeing a mile down the road....

Welcome to the site man. Got any pics? and yes please don't do the wing idea. If you wanna a spoiler go for a stock one like some have said or find one that isn't a park bench lol.

Was warned for this post, seriously? No vulgarity, no racism, no explicit flaming; just a comical observatatory response to let him know his planned/current things are not a good idea.
