How often should I have the air in my tires rotated? And at what mileage should I have it replaced altogether? On a fwd card, does it vary between the front tires and the rears?
Inquirying minds want to know. :P

If you are trying ask when to rotate your tires.. I usually get mine rotated every 10,000 miles or once a year. My BF Goodrich tires have about 65,000 miles on them so that's the next thing I want to replace on my car the next time I get some cash.

Um... yeah. Not exactly what I was refering to.
But since you're on the subject, I only rotated the original tires on my Daytona once and let the ones moved to the rear stay there on the back for 7 or 8 years. Ended up lasting me over 100,000 miles!

Rotate the tires every 6000 miles, if they are not directional rotate in an "X" pattern

rotating the wheels on any car simply promotes even tire wear. This shouldn't be that big of a problem unless you like squawkin'em, or your allignment is off. Check to see if your tire is wearing unevenly, then you should get an allignment before you rotate them and ruin them all

You should rotate the air in your tires every time you get gas. I've been told that old air can get rather heavy and dirty, cutting a full second off of your 1/4 mile time. You can also try going to a nitrogen. I heard this has twice the life of regular air. I was glad to help out a person in need.

In addition to all the condensation that forms in air. All that water continue's to build up with no where to go so it gets heavy and throws the balance of your tires off. Hence all of our vibration issues. This affect will also be alievated by switching to nitrogen.

On a truthful note, we use Nitrogen in the tires on the F-15's I work on just for the reason of reducing condensation.

yep, we use nitrogen in the race car tires. As it does not swell as much as air when it gets hot.

I use whatever comes out of my compressor which is air. And air is 80% nitrogen so my wheels have 80% nitrogen. It works fine for me.

I spraypaint my rims and tires chrome so they look nice and go faster at the same time.
