Has anyone had or did themselves painting on the engine. I want to detail my aleros motor, maybe with some wire lome and some chrome piecesand of course paint. Im looking for some ideas if anyone has any.

it's easy...wire loom, ebay's got lots...paint, just use high temp and it'll work...

here's mine, but its far from done, but u get what i'm goin for...BTW, the painted green, is changed to the green of the looms...

Personally, I think the engine should be painted to reflect the rest of the car's paint scheme. My Camaro's block was painted black and the rest was all chromed out to match the black & white body exterior, chrome bumpers, and black vinyl interior. Haven't painted the Alero block yet.

Still, Anything on my Camaro that wasn't chrome was done in black (where possible). Not meaning any insult but when I see lime green plug wires it reminds me of the neon green windshield wiper pieces that import drivers add to their cars even though it clashes with the rest of the paint scheme.

hehe...sorry to burst ur bubble daytona, but theres no plug wires here... :P ...i know what u mean tho...but, like u said, ur black and chrome was ur color scheme...mine is green on black and chrome accents...

I'm hopin' for formula to get his kits together one day......his gold wire loom looked bad-arse.


To Daytona, 3.4, or anyone else for that matter: When painting the upper intake mani on the 6, should It get pulled? Or is it just as easy to mask off the entire engine bay?
