Today is a cold day outside and this problem just started today on my Alero. Everytime I shut the door, there is a loud clack! noise that comes from inside the door like something is messed up. When I look at the ouside of the door when shutting it, the clack sound is accompanied by a sudden movement of the sheet metal on the ouside of the door. Kinda like a drum being hit really hard.

Any ideas or common problems. Stupid alero , boy oh boy

couldnt tell you what it is dude, but were you at the dealership this morning? Didnt see ya there - If you havent gone, ask them to have you or one of the attendants sit in the car on the pass. side with the drivers seat folded back and pushed back and have them close the door with the door panel off to see if you can see anything... Man, you have the CRAAAAAPiest Craptastic luck when it comes to all parts attached to an alero door. It could be the seat belt was just hangin out and hitting it when you closed the door, its happened to me before. But I think its your window, or one of the components on the window roller device thingamabob doo hickey (thats the technical term :P) - Also, check your window for scratches (clean it off first) running down the window before you hit the dealership next time - I told them about it, and they're replacing my glass on both pass and driver window... Talk to you later dude, and lemme know how it goes - we'll have a kinda breakfast club at the car dealership

Hey, I was pretty sick yesterday morning so I laid in bed as long as possible before work. Sorry if I made you wait there.

I got an appointment with Gauthier on Monday morning at 8 o'clock. Tim told me they are going to take the door panel off. Tim Garnham is the guy in the service dept that I always deal with because he listens to the customer and I know he is out for my best interests. I told Tim yesterday that Paul (body shop supervisor) was telling my its normal for Alero's to leak in pressure washers, etc, etc, lie lie lie and so Tim talked to Paul's boss and it sounds like progress is being made. I feel like pissing on Pauls door handles becuase he is an ass and tried to give me the brushoff. I'll win this.

Talk to you later.

Oh I'm suprised you are getting new windows on each door. Wow. What the hell.

See I told you they were full of poop! :P Good work with the whole "getting Paul's boss involved" deal, thats bound to get you somewhere. As for some closure to the matter, I think a big ol' Dump on Paul's Hood, Roof, and Handles would make you feel much better - maybe thats why your sick, :P hahahahahaha As far as my windows and vac line being repaired, I told them that they can have the car for a day or two to make it easier on them, but they have to gimme a loaner car, so Im hoping to get hooked up with a truck over the weekend, but we'll see - they arent sure if the parts are gonna be in on Friday, so we may have another breakfast club morning on Monday lol. Anyhow, good to hear your making headway there dood, and be sure to check your windows before you go the next time to see if there are any lateral gouges/scratch marks running up/down the window of both d.s and p.s cuz they would likely replace them too just like me. Talk to you later.

Landon
