I was thinking of getting a flipdown style moniter, and putting it where the lil compartment (useless) thing is. Would this be a hard install? also has any heard if any of these moniters are good?

Boss Audio BV-7.3IRF Overhead 7.3" Monitor
Boss Audio BV-72FLIP Overhead 7.2" Monitor
Boss Audio BV-7FLIP Overhead 7" Monitor

Thanks in advance,
Chris

That compartment is not really useless...I have my remotes in it. I don't have the sunroof on my car so I had a flip-down placed were the the overhead light was at. I still out of my rearview mirror while driving with the flip-down on

yea thats where mine is, i put opened in that other compartment is, my new tv has built in dome lights so it just made sense to replace that stupid thing......and the installs pretty easy, running the wire through the headliner was the hardest part i think.....

I have no idea about how the install was. I know the wires are running under the headliner I guess and down the A pillar. I kept mine has dome lights too but I also kept my stock ones....when i sell the car I am taking flip-down out

i did my install........it came with the mounting bracket, theres an offset piece off the roof that runs down the center of the car i believe, makes the install too easy, run the wires above the headliner to the winshield, across, down an a-pillar, and thats it.........its not as hard as it seems...

I put a pyle 7" with dome lt. where the compartment was...it turned out great....I had to put some 1/4" aluminum behind the head liner to make it sturdy..... that and some self taping screws...

Mostly play dvd's.

Also i can't put it in the dash bcuz i have an aftermarket radio there along with my switch panel. i don't feel like moving all of it somewhere else. But it does look good in the dash.

I was trying to decide whether to go with flip-down or headrests. I chose the flip-down because....I work in a bad neighborhood. You walk by a car and can easily see monitors in a headrest or in the dash if it's not one that flips out. I don't want to give theives a reason to break in. An alarm will not stop a professional either and it takes about 30 seconds for someone to break in. Most not all ignore alarms going off now.
