You'd be better off just getting a new sub that can handle the power you are running. Bazooka's are kinda cheap imho, they are good for the people that don't care about sound quality and just want something that they can toss in the trunk and forget about.

if your looking for somthing like the bazoka, get the infinity basslink.

if you have the factory monsoon setup, you could always replace them with soundstream sst6.9's. they are bi ampable dual impedance 6x9's. i just posted a "review" of them, i recommend them

bazookas have excellent bass response and good sound quality what r u talkin about, i had an old hatch back and had to jl's in bass tube enclosures, sounded real good.......my brother had that exact sub (1) in that link up there and it hits harder than my (2) 10's currently do, granted he has an older accord hatchback........id recomend it though, but up 2 u.....

as far as weight issues, i dont know whats ur runnin right now, if you could let me know i can tell you whether that sub is right for you and whether u will be saving weight.......

it was the bass tube that i put jl speakers into......but you can power them with just a little bit of power and you can get decent response with good sq.........and like i said before my brothers one 10 hit harder than my 2 10's........but mine arent weak cause i blew my friends2 12 inch audiobahns powered by a fosgate 800 watt rms amp out of the water.....

no offense, but 800's watts of rockford power is like 400 of everyone elses, and i have no idea why people even buy audiobahn

really though, if you want some bass to just throw in the trunk, get the infinity basslink, ive never seen a even decent editorial review of a bazooka, and the ones i heard sounded like crap. basslinks sound pretty good for what they are, and get good reviews, they had a comparo in car audio mag, between the better bazooka tube (2 series i guess) and the basslink, the basslink one in every category hands down

your first part makes no sense and have u held a dual coiled audiobahn 1 inch surround in ur hand?? its massive and in the right conditions will blow a lot out of the water......so know what ur talkin about, sure audiobahn makes low end subs but high end too......

and im not saying infinity is bad, im saying ive heard bazooka in different environments whether its a cab or in a trunk and it sounded good thats all im saying.....

he asked for peoples opinions, so chill on it.......
