I didn't know where to post this, so I hope this is fine. I have to get new tires next month and if any of you can recommend a good brand, it'd be greatly appreciated.

Check the tire link in my sig (the Falken Visas), I love those, and they were a lot cheaper than Yoko's, etc.

don't get dunlops they are not lasting. Check out the new BFGoodrich's Traction T/A. A buddy of mine just put them on his eclipse and they look good, i am not sure on wear because of the lack of mileage on them.

I got Sumitomo HTR+ all season tires in 235/40/18. I love them. Since you're in texas, I guess you don't need to worry about all-season tires, huh? Well, check out Tirerack.com (through the link above). They have better prices on tires than most places locally, and their service is really really good. I got my tires through them, and I couldn't be more happy. Tirerack also provides a lot of customer reviews on the tires they sell, so you can get a feel of what you're buying before you lay out the cash.

Thanks again. Your right no need for all season, barely rains here and we rarely get snow. When it does snow...everything closes so don't have to worry about driving. Thanks again, I'll check those out.

That's my recommendation!!!!!

I have Goodyear Eagle GP-H P215/60R15 H rated that I purchased from Sams Club for $70 a piece and only $9 each for Install, lifetime balancing and Rotating and Road Hazard warenty. I must say these tires are amazing for the Price. I have trouble spinning the tires(I really have to try hard, won't happen by accident like the factorys) and this corner in my home down, the max speed I was able to get with factory ties was 50 while coasting and they started to squeel. That same corner with the new tires 70+mph under full acccel before the tires even start to think about complaining.

These tires are the best. I had them on my 2002 Cavalier (when I had 2 cars) and the grip and handling are awesome.
I'm trying to get them on my Alero now but I'm having trouble with the 17" rims I have. Had to buy spacers and now longer wheel studs.
I bought the 225/45/17's and I paid $414 which included shipping. These tires avg about $85 a tire, and outperform tires that cost twice as much.
Don't buy Yoko's Avid's That's what I have now. 15,000 miles and one is shot

For about 4 months now I've got the Cooper lifeliner SLP 22550R16 and I'm very happy with them. I was kind of lucky on price since my bud works for Sturgeon tire and gave a very generous discount.

Sumihomos, uh I mean Sumitomos are awesome. Even at the track. I had a friend cut 2/10's off his 60' going fromsz50's to sumitomo's. Inexpensive as hell also.
