I have been notice a more frequent than normal drop in my RPMs. I'll be sitting at a light or just anywhere and it'll be smooth but it seems like it hits a rough spot I'm thinking maybe a spark plug. The rpms will drop from 1000 to about 700 and when that happens it does a chug/stuttering type thing. Then right back up to 1000 and then it'll happen again it seems like something that is timed cause it does it in what seems to me to be regular intervals

Do a search as I think someone covered this with throttle body cleaner sprayed through the air intake at the throttle body - with the filter and piping out is what I am trying to say. Easy and seems to work.

gm calls it a throttle body maintenance or something like that and they will prolly have a standard price displayed prominently.

Hey man I had the same problem it is the EGR valve. The selinoid it gets clogged with carbon and doesnt move so you can clean it out with some carb cleaner and a small screwdriver to scrape the carbon out. Thats on a 3.4L.

Not sure if you found the cure or not, but I was having the EXACT same issue. Turned out to be the coil pack. They could see right on the pack where it was failing, it was pretty black.
