stats.....
7psi
this run was done after about an hour in traffic on the way to the bank after work today (not even 30 mins ago)
temp is roughly 90* outside right now (wtf )
so the engine and car was REALLY warm, lol and probably heat soaked, but you get the point....
i also changed my 2-3 shift point down a couple mph from what it was before. i am trying to figure out a good point for the shift since i have 3.29 gears and the car came stock with 3.33's. so there is a few things that i have to work out to figure out a good point to shift at.
0mph-roughly 85mph.
hope you like....

did you have it punched?, cause i noticed that you went from 0-60 in about 8 seconds, 7 psi should be able to do that alot quicker than that shouldnt it?, im not saying you are wrong or your car sucks or anything, dont mean anything against you, i am just saying that it seems like i should be more, maybe you just dont have it floored

how can you tell? you can't see the speedo at all and he stated it was roughly 0-85. to me that looks pretty damn quick. nice video!

you cant go by what the time is on the media player device you use. because if you look at the vid, i dont start moving until a couple secs after it starts.
and it was "punched", but only after i hit about 10mph, otherwise the tires can/will go up in smoke if there is the slightest bit of traction loss.
i basically eased into the throttle until it was on the floor.
if you notice on the vid, you can see how the steering wheel is moving back and forth. that was me trying to steer out of the traction loss that was starting to happen. once the traction gripped, then i stomped on the gas.
and remember what i said about the heat. it is a killer on the low end! and it has been a really odd last week. rain for 4 hours, and then the sun pop out, reaches 85-90* with 100% humidity.
its not a good scenerio for racing or going fast. but i had a lot of people buggin for a daytime vid.
maybe i can get a better one at night when it has cooled off or a cool summer day will happen soon, hahaha.

oh yea, and you cant judge my mph gauge and rpm gauge at this point. remember i have 3.29 gearing now, and the pcm is set for 3.33 and since there is no way for me to change the gear ratio in the 96 PCM's due to there not being a table for that option, then i have to control the shifts by doing a mathmatical equation of under/over reporting by the speed sensors.
so basically, the mph gauge that you "see" is from an underreported mph. so if the gauge says 60, its really ~62, and now add in they fact that you speed up faster than you gauge can means that your actually doing a lot faster than you see on your dash.
thats why you cant take a stopwatch out and go 0-60 and think its going to be accurate.

Good Video, have you ever thought of making something to hold your camera for you? a guy on cardomain made a thing that bolts around the top of the passenger seat to hold his camera. I'll try to find it.
Well I found something similiar.
funny ones

i have considered making a camara mount, but i havent really had the time to even think about a design, however, that angle bar idea. shoudnt be to hard to make and it would work with the monte's headrest. i dont know how stable it would be though.
only a couple bucks to try. we shall see what this weekend has in store for me.

there is probably around 100k on the engine now.
i got her with 56k and i have put close to 40k on her since she has been in
and yes, the goal is 15psi, completely stock block/crank/pistons/crank/rods/etc.....
and reving to 6200 is the goal too.
when i first put the turbo and stuff on i have gotten "crazy" a couple times and hit 15 psi
once i hit 20psi
that was a very interesting 15 secs i had then.

and you said all you did was replaces some gaskets with copper gaskets. so what bothers me is, why everyone is leery about running 9 psi?

actually, im not using copper gaskets.
i have a set of graphite gaskets with the steel mesh interwooven in it.
and i believe the only reason why i had blown gaskets before is due to a warped head and misfire due to a bad injector or something. *knock on wood* but i havent had any issues lately and feel pretty comfortable running to 12psi or more. i stay around 10psi for normal everyday fun. 12+ is freaking insane sometimes, lol. and with the way the weather has been lately, ive kept her around 7-9psi. its been really hot and humid lately and i dont like to push it to hard when its like this.
its kinda cool that i dont have to worry about tuning each time i up the boost since i have allready have it set up for 13 psi.
anything over 13 psi will require use of a larger maf sensor due to outflowing the stock one at 13'ish psi. you can run higher than 13 psi and the computer will go command the last values on the maf sensor table only(11,500). its not like the maf shuts off if you out flow it. however the further you go past the last value the leaner and leaner you get, so its really a game of chance.
as for why people are scared to run past 7-9 psi are probably still on a stock tune and stock injectors. im using the DHP Powertuner and very large fuel injectors (42.5#) so i am able to play around at a higher boost level and not worry about fuel needs as much as some one else that uses a FMU or an AFPR only.

a twin turbo stealth!? they dont make twin turbo stealths........unless its a VR-4 (3000gt) or a motor swap from a VR-4 to a stealth.

stock stealths and 3000gt's dont have anything on me.
ive handled both from rolls, 20mph to around 115mph.
never raced one from a dig though.
however the races were close.
