So the new Magnaflow muffler is here to go along with the 2.5" SLP pipeing that I bought from turbo-alero AKA "Devil Dog"
If any one remembers it came with a Titanium burnt tip fart can, no offense but it does not sound good at all on a 4 poper at least in the cab the only time that it does sound good is when its at an idle right after start up,but hopefully this willmake it sound better
I know at least one person on here has this set up maybe he has some input on the sound?

A resonator would probably have helped remove some of the higher frequencies.

The nice thing with that muffler is that it has a relatively long path to travel for the size of it, so it should mellow out some of those frequencies you don't like. I probably would've went with something like that if i didn't get the pace-car exhaust.

Interesting they routed it that way, I think on the Borla, and even on my pace car exhaust, The exhaust enters the rear most inlet on the muffler... makes that bend a little easier.

I have a 3.4 6er in my Alero. I had a Magnaflow stainless steel muffler installed on my car and it works great! I had them install a resonated stainless tip as well. It has a deep rich sound to it, no rice noise! I think I have just a couple pics of the muffler on my site, but you can only see the back of my muffler. Guess I have go take some better shots of it. If you get some sound clips post them I want to hear that car sing!

Definitely sounds like a 4 banger, but it could be worse.

man I need to get audio files of mine. I have 2 magna flow fart canz on my 3400. They are just straight thru mufflers, with SLP pipe from the cat back, no resonater. Its actually pretty tame at idle and low R's. I was a lil dissapointed. But then I took it out and beat on it and man it sounds AWESOME at higher R's. granted the 3.4 never ventures frther than 5and a half grand, it sounded great!. Overall, more low key than the SLP. ....hey, that ryhmed. impin:
