Shouldn't. I've got the Monsoon amp and just had to wire the amp turn on wire to turn on the amp .

Ok quick queston and im sure its a rather dumb one. So some of the aleros came with a amp already installed? and if so how do you know if it came in your car, find it, and hook it up to work with the new speakers/headunit?
Sorry if that was dumb but ive never hear of any of this.

the ones with a stock amp have it in the trunk. pop the lid on the trunk and pull open the carpet behind the driver's side tail lights in the trunk. If you got it, you'll know for sure. if there's nothing there, just flat partially-painted metal, then you don't got it.

you dont actually have to wire the speakers to use the amp. just make sure you wire the amp turn power wire with aftermarket harness to the stock harness

Just do a search for the monsoon wire code. There have been quite a few posts leaving it. I believe it was 03blackgx (or something like that). All aleros with a OEM amp use the monsoon. They all have the same pin out just don't state monsoon across the amp. My 03 is just called a premium system with a non marked amp. it is identical to the monsoon I have seen.
