I have 2 questions about painting interior pieces. I've read the how to on it, and still wasn't sure.

On the air vents, do you completely take them apart like all the way down to each blade seperate, or just take the outer trim piece off and then pull the blade sets with the little rod connector thingy out and paint them that way?

On the radio trim piece that goes down into the little cubby hole, is it possible to get the cigarette lighter thing out without breaking something, or do you just tape up the hole?

Thanks, I finally got the cig. lighter part out of the piece, so I just got done painting the radio/center console/cubby hole trim pieces a little while ago. Just gotta put the clear on them.

Anyone who's done the air vents before, when painting them, do you think it would help to tape off just the very end of each blade so the paint build-up wouldn't affect movement? Any help appreciated. Thanks.

If you ever want to be able to adjust your vents, I don't recommend it. I personally don't care about adjusting them so I'm happy with the results.

Just take them apart as much as you can and spray them all over. I only put on two coats and it made everything pretty much unable to move. Maybe someone on here knows a trick to keep them movable. Hope that helps you out. Good luck.
