New Wheels!!! Woohoo!!
Ok, So I have mainly been concentrating on getting the engine parts all done and back together, but I have been doing research on rims and prices, it seemed like all the rims I liked were either discontinued, really expensive, or heavy. Anyways, I have been eyeing these rims for awhile but the cheapest I've seen them is like $309 a wheel. I called up tirerack since they have recently been discontinued and wanted to see how many they had. My sales specialist told me this was the last set they had, and then they gave me the price, I almost didn't believe it, I had to ask hime like 3 times if the price was right. I absolutely love these rims and although they are lightweight, they aren't extremely light, but for the same weight or a couple lbs less than a stock combo, I can put down some serious rubber, oh price....got all four shipped to my house for $758.08
enough blabbering the wheels and specs
Weds Sports TC-005
SSF construction (same process SSR and RH uses)
light grey pained
17x8
+32 offset
weight (seen anywhere from 14.2-15.9, i'll get exact then they arrive)
SO HOT......
Silver Mustang with them in 18s
Will get official weight and pics when they arrive.....

Nice wheels, and what are ya talking about, 15 lbs for a 17x8 is pretty damn light from what I've seen.

yeah, they are 10th on the wheelweight.net site I listed, but for the price they are by far the lightest, but for a little over $200 you can pick up traklite 2s which are like 14.5 lbs, but they also don't have a very good fitment as far as offset for the alero......

I actually wanted to get a set of 17" trak lite or trak lite II's just for the weight savings but from this they may not be able to be used?

Both the traklite and traklite 2 are a 17x8 and use a +45 offset, almost 100% sure they will rub bad with that offset, and then if you use spacers you lose a pound or 2 of weight savings and you might as well get some other wheels.

thats because the point is you are more likely to damage your stock wheels than these if you hit a pot hole.

They'll look great. They have the similar appearance to a C5 Z06 or a Acura TL-S
