Low RPM Engine Rattle
hey guys ive had this problem for a while now and i cant stand it anymore, i have a 5 spd 2.4 and whenever im below 2k rpm in any gear like i mean even 1900rpm there is a sever rattling noise in the engine and the car has almost no power what so ever but as soon as i hit 2k it stops and sounds nice and clean and then the car picks up, even when im just cruising you can totally feel the power change alot when it climbs above 2k, it almost feels like i floor it but my foot doesnt move. it seems like the rattlin and the power loss are connected, any ideas?

-problem in the ignition system.
-carbon build-up in combustion chambers.
-incorrect octane fuel.
-incorrect spark plugs.
-knock sensor system not functioning properly.
this is out of the haynes manual,my bets are on the second one.first try running sea-foam through it,might help.

It always done that from the time I had it, even the guy that sold it to me had it for a long time. Last time I had a compression test, I made around 210 in each cylinder. SO I suppose its not that. Sparks doesn't even have 8 000 km and It was fulled with premium last week and yesterday.
I would believe that leaves me to number 1 ou 5. (or maybe you can have carbon in your combustion chamber and still have good compression)

Carbon in your combustion chamber may actually INCREASE your compression, as it makes the chamber smaller.

Woohoo! thats a cheap ass mod!
But seriously, what does the carbon affect then when it is in the combustion chamber? The Cleaness of the A/F explosion?
