Ryan from Ohio will become famous soon enough
Trim plastic from the front panel. Trim plastic from the inner crap...

Find a way to support the deck in there...

The opening for an alero is just over 4" which 4" is standard double din size. Plus I haven't seen any kits. brackets, mounts, etc. to install anything double din sized in an alero. Just wiring harnesses! I am going to be putting a AVIC D3 in my alero, I still have to go to best buy and see what they say about the install but I want to give it a try first before I pay someone to do it!

The metra 99-2003 kit includes adapters for double din mountings...

Also you can look at these...

The radio size was used corporate wide for GM, I know Pioneer shows an AVIC in an Escalade dash, so theoretically it should fit fine in the Alero. Just the dash trim might need to be opened up a touch. The oldsmobile dash opening is a strange shape...
