I was wondering if it is possible to paint vinyl dash? If it is what paint will hold up and does it look crappy or chip over time? Or what can I do to replace dash with different custom color?

it is possible to paint the dash vinyl.. there's a paint for vinyl made by duplicolor...paint info colors are limited though... as far as it holding-up, it's gonna depend on how much sun it's getting, alot of sun and it will at very least fade it.. i would say expect around 2-3 years if done right, and don't park it in the direct sunlight

you can go to just about any auto parts store and buy vinyl die, should last good and long and definitely won't chip. don't expect to find too many wild colors though, odds are you won't find much past the standard tan, black, gray type stuff.

your best bet would be to reupholster the dash, but vinyl dye should work fine.

Hey thanks for the help and if I do go about painting I don't think I will have to much of a problem with severe sunlight considering I live in North Dakota!

After you get the dye how do you go about dying it do you just tape off the parts you don't want dyed, or take the dash out or whats the easiest way?
