weird issue
ok so basically whenever i feather the gas pedal (like at a stop light when im creeping up) and then take my foot off the gas pedal, the car will surge a little maybe 1 or 2 seconds after i take my foot off the pedal. this also happens when i pull into my driveway (i usually just coast into my driveway but when i get about halfway up the car surges and it feels like im giving it gas when im not)
any ideas on that?

have you checked for vacuum leaks? how does it idle, high, low, rough, normal?
does it backfire when you let off the gas or throwing any codes?
my truck did this when I got it, never fixed it until I swapped engines..

try lubing your throttle cables, my gf's neon use to do that I used " Fluid Flim" and sprayed the heck out of her throttle cable and it worked great still does currently. not saying its going to fix yours tho but its worth a shot

try what rob said, if that doesn't work then try some intake cleaner, iirc its made by some company called CRC, CDC...something like that. its not expensive at all either.
