Thhis weekend is a 2-day event at NJ's Raceway Park and one of the biggest Sport Compact/Import races of the year there. I can't race both days so I have decided to just go tomorrow and leave today "free" for working on the house.
There are many race classes both days. The bracket classes I'm most interested in are the B1, B2, and B3 classes.
B1 = 15.00 seconds and slower
B2 = 13.00 - 14.99
B3 = 12.99 and quicker
Saturday the cost is $25 to race with $300 to win, $150 R/U, and $50 semis.
Sunday the cost is $45 to race but
$500 to win, $200 R/U, and $50 semis.
I am racing my regular Sunday bracket car in the B1 class, as will several other heavy hitters from the track. None of us, however, have a car that is quick enough to fit in the B2 or B3 classes. Whichever one of us gets a car in there first will run the table since the "racers" in those classes can't cut consistent lights or even know what they're doing half the time.
I want to offer one of you with a 14-second car the chance for what should be easy money. Bring your car down tomorrow in time for timeshots @ 9:30am. I will pay for the $45 tech ticket (you buy it at the gate on the way in and I'll reimburse you so that you get in for free) and I'll run the car for you in the B2 or B3 class and then I'll split the $$$ winnings with you 50/50. I haven't driven a stick in many years so I'd prefer someone with an automatic transmission. Besides, auto transes are more consistent for bracket racing anyway.

The last Sport Compact race I competed in I lost in the Finals against another RP points racer. Still made $150 on the day for only 6 rounds of competition.
