Stabilizer Bar Bushings....Spray the bushings with Lithum Grease so that it the grease works its way between the bar & bushing.

How could I check to see where the squeak is coming from. I already jacked it up and spun the tires but it didn't squeak. I think it is when I hit a bump, even the slightest bump, so I figure it is the shocks or springs or something like that. I am going to try that grease stuff. Thanks. Anyone else have this happen??

Yeah, I have that same problem and took it to the dealer about 3 days ago and they said they had to order 2 new front struts. I don't know if your problem is as serious though, I'd probably try the grease like the others said.

I had a very small squeak from my engine bay everytime I would hit the gas or if I pushed on the car while it was parked. I sprayed some WD-40 on the motor mounts and the noise is gone... I knew if I took it into the dealer, they would look at me like I was stupid, so I just fixed it myself.

My shocks or something squiek<<<<STURTS PEOPLEour cars have struts
it also could be control arm bushing
here a simple way to check your ball joint and control arm bushings
put the car in drive and sit there with ur foot on the brake turn the wheel each way left and right all the way
if it makes any kinda noise then ya know it`s ball joint or control arm bushings
STURTS PEOPLE STRUTS!!!!

mine was the bushings then a month down the road it was the strut mount itself not the struts. Look into that as well.

^^ Actually that's no joke. This is the way you test struts. You push down hard on the car and let go. It should only bounce once, a little bounce after the first is OK but starting to show wear, any more than that, you need new struts.
Edit: You push down over the top of each wheel

I have the same problem. Seemed to only start happening when I got my car back from a firestone service shop where they put in new pads and rotors... <_<
Does anyone have a pic or can tell me where I spray the wd-40 exactly. Since I'm new to working on cars, I'm not exactly sure. Thanks.

Your talking about your brakes squeaking. PLEASE don't spray WD-40 on them. Brake squeak is somewhat normal. Almost always happens when you have anyother brand besides GM pads put on your Alero. But GM pads SUCK, so I can live with the squeak. Unless your brake squeak is really bad, then I would take it back to the shop that put them on. But some squeaks now and then, don't sweat it.

Actually, the squeak doesn't appear to be coming from the brakes at all but rather from the struts when I hit bumps at low speed. I had firestone look at the brakes again and everything is fine. They said that it might be the struts or bushings but they do not appear to be worn and I shouldn't have to worry.....according to them anyway.
It is weird though that it only started after I had it in there.

Mine started out as just a squeak and now it sounds like there is plastic breaking apart everytime I hit a bump. I went down an old dirt road and it sounded like my car was about to fall apart. How much do struts cost anyway?? Should I take it to someone to have it professionally put on on could I just buy the struts and put them on myself?? Thanks
