I just got a 2001 Alero GL. what should i do if the service soon, trac off, and anti lock lights come on sometimes in revers.

Vehicle Speed Sensor. Means you have a wheel hub/bearing going. Join the crowd.

i had the same problem...they had to replace the wheel bearing

It's the whole hub (bearing and sensors in a sealed unit). Like Molson said, find out which one it is, then go to the how-to forum and look it up. Look it over and decide whether or not you want to replace it yourself (it's not too hard).
