Heating chrome

So i went to drop my rim off at a place so they could fix the bend, he said it would be tough, cause the bend is near one of the spokes on the rim. Then he told me he would try his best to bend it back, if that didnt work, he said he would weld a peice of metal on the rim so the tire wont leak air out. He warned me that the chrome might be discolored where the bend was.

Will the chrome turn blueish where the bend was, after he heats it up? I hope it isnt tooooo noticeable
