Codes - strange
When I first bought the Alero, the check engine light was on and the car never heated up unless sitting still for a while. I figured the thermostat, and after checking the codes at work it said coolant too cool for too long, and egr pintle stuck open.
I replaced the thermostat (or rather installed one.. there wasn't one in there), and the check engine light hasn't come on since and it runs right in the middle all the time now, so thats good.
Anybody know what was up with the EGR code being thrown? Could the temp of the engine affect the EGR and it was fixed by putting the stat in? I didn't think they were related... but I could be wrong?
Thanks
Cody
