Sounds like you worked it to hard and fried it. Yeah it might still run signal through, but sounds like it's done for.

Not necessarily.
If the green power indicator light illuminates, then obviously your 12V+, Ground, and REM are connected properly. This would lead really anyone to believe that your RCA's aren't connected properly, or may be damaged. IF this is NOT the case, take a DMM and set it to Volts AC. Play some music, and connect your + and - to the + and - of one of the channels on the amplifier. If you get a reading (changing numbers) then you have an amplified signal coming from your amplifier, and your problem would be something after the amplifier in the circuit.
Another question: Has this amp ever been used to power these subwoofers before? If not, you may need to re-assess your gain, hpf, lpf, boost settings.
Another thing dealing with a "protect" situation. If the red protect light comes on, then you would have to look into a few things.
1. Check your fuses.
2. Make sure that your ground is properly "grounded."
3. Double-check all of your speaker impedances leading into your amplifier. If you run your amplifier at a nominal load lower than that rated, the amplifier may put itself into protect to prevent you from frying some of the hardware inside.

K.
Disconnect the sub from the amp.. grab a AA battery and touch it to the speaker leads to pop the subs, make sure they work. I've seen both go out before (tinsel leads snap on Polks, bleh). Then reconnect them if they work.
Then grab an Ipod or something and a stereo to RCA cable... plug it directly into the amp and play some music.
If it still doesn't work.. yea, amp's probably shot.
And what's so wrong with power acoustik :P

Well same brand I believe but if there no protect light it isn't shorting. Fets with throw that light on when they pop since it's creating a short. Since powers on green light has to be something with input RCA inputs broke loose or something. Had a amp few weeks ago fets popped cut them out power it up no more protection light.
Know it's been said a million times but in car audio you really get what you pay for!

Also usually something with signal is an easy fix. Do what he said above with checking with an iPod if still doesn't play and no protect, and out of warrenty! Open up the case and check if rcas came unplugged if are ones that clip into board or try to wiggle and see if move easily if soldered to the board.
