if there's no rooms avail on friday i ain't gonna be too convinced about goin for one night...i did that last year and its no fun to do the damn drive in 2 days...

Just phoned this morning and was told the same thing. They had a couple of rooms at the Travelodge (next door) but its not really the same thing...

What about moving the date from Sept 23-25 to Sept. 26-29?

Oops... I pulled up the calendar on my comp and didnt change the month to Sept... I meant the weekend of Sept 30-Oct 2

Besides... its monday, its early and I'm dumber than usual under those conditions.

Is those the only 2 hotels to choose from? Maybe call around other hotels to check for availabilty. Is this pretty much the only get together the candadian side has? Be cool to party with u guys sometime, but I need to plan this ahead of time. Or hopefully something will go on if i decide to hit the falls again.

its the bigger one i guess...it doesn't help that us canadians are so spread apart....well, me anyways...lol...i think its the only hotel that'll really let us "party" from what i understood...and its got a karaoke bar in the parkin lot...not that thats a good thing cuz most ppl brutalize the songs, but anyways

cuz i'm too far away....its a 7-8 hour drive for me to the falls...

Just phoned Thrift Lodge again. They've got like 5 rooms available (smoking only) for the weekend of Sept 30-Oct2. The Travel Lodge right next door has similar rooms and numbers as well but they are $20 more a night.

Thrift Lodge was 129 for friday, and 149 for saturday. and thats in canadian funds. You americans can go figure out what that works out to on your own.

OK effers ! YB has changed his reservations to the weekend of September 30th, departing on the end of October. With any luck @ all, there's enough rooms for everyone. FYI: I ended up getting a room with 1 King sized bed, the weekend's total accomodations cost: $319.71 CAD.

**One more thing: as of 2 seconds ago, they have ONLY smoking rooms available for the Sat, and both smoking AND non-smoking available for Friday night. That said, those of us who plan on staying the weekend are subjected to smoking rooms. To sum it up, they have 8 rooms available for both days, but you'll have to be in a smaoking room.**

King sized bed??? you may want to call back and double check your reservation... I thought the TRAVEL Lodge had the king sized beds, and the THRIFT lodge had all queen sized... Thrift Lodge being the one we wanted....

EDIT: I just booked a room for the same weekend and it was $278 CDN before taxes and fun stuff.. I was told earlier that the Travel Lodge was $20 more per night.
