the fans should turn on by themselves, the heater helps draw the hot air out of the engine compartment, unfortunately it ends up making you sweat pretty bad, but if sure beats a bad overheat.

I checked out what you said. In my car, I can turn on the Hot, or cold air. As long as my A/C light is on. And it turns my fan on.

Thank god I have a sunroof. :P
