i believe that a carbon fiber hood looks okay on a black car, but that is why when i put my body kit on my whole car is getting painted a different color, plus i hate just plain carbon fiber hoods on colored cars, when you do, you have to blend it in with the car, like yiddishbdg hood is painted, very nice job of showing off the carbon fiber hood, yet blending it well with the car's style...

also skiboarder, look at my pix, mine is just the skin, light as bunny, i fabbed some fiberglass mounts on the back side though, so i could used the stock hinges, and then the two locking hood pins in front, any questions or if you want more detailed pictures just pm me

I think a CF hood would only look good on a black car.

I don't know about paniting it though, if it was going on a different color car I'd say go for it.

Well heres the deal guys.

The guy i'm gettin it from got it custom made. He owned a shop and a guy wanted an alero c/f hood made. So he called VIS racing and had them do a custom job.

then when the hood came in the dood was nowhere to be found. and now this guy is closing his shop and has to get ridda it.

ITs just a skin also, which means its LIGHT as hell, but would require 4 hood pins.

I mainly wanted one just for the loox of it. I am trying to gain summore points at shows and stuff. It would also be good to save some tenths at teh track, can always use them.

But its either but this, or put that money toward headers

personaly id say headers, but being just the skin...isnt it kinda flexible??..like maybe the front lip would start pulling up at highway speeds...i have no idea about c/f but a glass hood i had that was just a skin, on my old mustang did that.

ummm actually it won't if you have it pinned down right, i've had my car up to the speed limiter numerous times and even though, the hood flexes like hell (look at my pictures you can see the hood flexing because i have a makeshift proprod on only one side of the cf hood) if you pin it down right it will ride like stock, also, alerosport i've been planning on doing what you suggested for a long time, but the symbol will be smaller with other graphics along side it,
