chubbyboy88 Yup I saw your Alero on broad street one time and it inspired me to actually get an Alero.I guess you can call me a fan of sorts.I guess I won't go with the vinyl.I just want something to make my car look different from most other Alero without attracting alot of attention from the cops as I do live in west Philly.
|
If you want to make your alero different:
clear your corners.
http://www.aleromod.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10
Maybe a mesh grill
http://www.aleromod.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8306
and smoke your tail lights. You can get creative with these.
http://www.aleromod.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3713
These are some cheap-o mods, but they will look way better than the decal, and be cheaper as well.
Something else that makes a huge difference is the tints if you dont have any yet.
If you want any other ideas, I suggest this website.

I wouldn't entirely shoot down the "tiger" idea. If you have a certain "theme" in mind for your car, go for it....as a painter I personally lean towards air brushing as it can be kick ass no matter what you do. Vinyl is too two dimensional and you'll have ricers all over you like fart in a space suit.

I understand wanting to be different, and a lot of you guys shoot down these different ideas. Sure they may not be good, but does everyone who wants a modded Alero have to have clear corners, and never buy an benchseat spoiler. I agree that the tiger wouldnt look good, but really, do we all have to look the same?!
Do what you want, go paint a tiger on the side of your car if you have to. If it looks good, kudos to you. If not... we will probably lol at you. Bottom line, do what you like.

you can do A LOT these days with vinyl... it doesn't have to be straight cut vinyl... what about a digitally printed wrap?
these are all vinyl. and wayyy cheaper than airbrushing (not that i don't support airbrushing... but many people can't afford that much expense.)
http://www.flickr.com/photos/360wraps/2788248187/
this matte black paint job is actually a vinyl wrap...
also a matte black wrap
and if you feel like vinyl is a cheap way out... consider this vinyl job...
(not my cup of tea but hey)
