Ill sell you mine when i get my new engine from OEM mine works fine it has around 150,000 miles on it no egr valve

alright, got info from a guy at work on turbos and what all is needed, and I'm gonna build my spare engine for a turbo. what all do I need to build? heads? what else?

the amount of boost you plan to run dictates what your engine build needs to include. how many pounds do you plan on running?

i would get pistons, no matter what just to be safe, besides that, it depends on boost #s......

i want to run at least 10psi i think... but then again i don't exactly know, still just in the thinking stage right now. but i was told that 1 psi is roughly equal to 10 hp?

of course that number goes down as you increase boost, loss of power and such occur

you cannot calculate psi with horses,you can,but it depends on what turbo you have,PSI is compressed air,not the flow,a big turbo will spool more flow but could be too big for your engine,creates turbo lags!not an expert in it but i think it works like that

well, dont forget, 10 PSI through a straw and 10 PSI through a 4" pipe, there is a difference

for you....yea probably. until you get everything built up and it runs good.....then you will get greedy and want more PSI. happens every time ![Wink](images/smilies/smilies/wink.gif)
