This person used to sell them on eBay.

That is the right stuff to use to get the scratches out of the glass. Cerium oxide is also used for when they finish eyeglass lenses.

I have used it with a buffer before to get some etching out of store-front windows.

This place is cheaper than eBay and reputable. Just buy it directly from them. In the past I've replaced windshields just because they were 10 years old and very pitted. Next time I'm going to try one of these kits. That's why I was looking at their site (that and I wanted to buff out a bath tub).

ok but i need to locate a felt peice thats good

if you just need a felt piece, go to a fabric store and buy some thick felt, cut it to size and stick it on with some 3M double sided tape. That should do the trick.
