Thanks for all the help and opinions guys but i like the way that Vella's Alero did his i like the smoked look but yet you can still see a hint of red.

i used about 2-3 coats of vht and stuck em in the oven at 100 degrees for 20 mins. right after painting them. they come out nice and smooth. only thing is. preheat oven to 100 degrees while your painting. once done stick em in the oven and turn the oven off so its just like a hot summer day in there. and set a timer for 20 mins or watch the clock. pull the 1st one out. turn oven back on let it get warm and paint the next one then stick the next one in and turn oven back off etc... etc..
