this is my set up... 245/40/20 the tires are too big, bought off a guy who had them on a buick regal... i put 1" spacers on the rear and rolled the fenders, and they do not rub... the front however, rubs the lower spring perch. I believe they are 8" or 8.5" wide

I ran 20x8.5 American Racing Maverick wheels w/a 40mm offset. 225/30/20 tire

My car was lowered too. Intrax springs/Sensa Trac struts.

lol since howie edited about being lowered, I should mention I am on eibach/FE3 struts... waiting for the H&R/GR2's to be installed...

i am running 18x5 with a 43mm offset and 215/35/18 tires and im dropped roughly 4" on the grand am and dont rub at all. sadly though the alero is stock..

it is the widest you can go without stretching ( I hate stretched tires, ugly, uneven wear and not safe)

yep, i got the osv kit from kwhauck in my garage... i didn't worked on the car for like 18 months (since it's been keyed).. and it'll take another year before I start working again on it....
