buy the spacers, and a 215 tire. I don't think they'll stick out that much, prolly won't even be noticeable. But if they stick out too much get the stainless steel wheel well trim from the site on here under all parts(just under new posts or something on our menu) they're only about $100 and stick out another 1/2 inch then our regular fenders. I wouldn't get rid of the rims and rubber if you can make it work, and i think you should be able to get it all together by the time the weather starts warming up.

i think you're nuts. sell the wheels and do it right. or, do what formula nerd said and use real fender flares that get molded in. but the smartest thing to do would be to sell the wheels and buy ones made for the car.

i dont think there is a 20" tire that is only 215 wide, but even if there was, he'd still be hosed because the rims is 8.5" wide.

You could also roll out the fenders so that they would cover up the tire. That is, if you have body experience or you know anybody that does have experience.

i don't think 235's would fit. your best bet is to take your car with you when you're getting the rims and tires, and get them to try em on readaway, that's what they did with mine and they saw the 235s hit the struts and springs, so they just put narrower tires on and they fit fine. I think i got 225/s on now.

you can get 225/30/20 BFG g-force T/A KDW tires from tirerack for $299 each special (normal are $350). Your speedomter will be correct.
Or
You can get the Nitto's NT555 225/35/20 for $165 each from tires.com (discount tire direct). But your speedomoter will be 5-7 mph off, when your reading 60 mph on the speedo; your really going 65-67 mph. I know.. I had a cop follow me and I had a friend car's driving side by side to compare.
So $1200 plus shipping for tires for the BFG or $700 for the nitto's more or less.
