OK, I've dropped everything I am doing right now and made a call to bodykits.
What I was told confirms why I am not spending a lot of time on this right now as I stated in a previous post
1)I gave the phone number to sburke for bodykits several weeks ago. He told me that he just tried to call but couldn't reach them, I called and got thru right away as usual whenever I call.
2)In post #365 he said he has sent an email to bodykits to ask them several questions about the process and other issues and was waiting for a reply. Bodykits has received emails only from myself, Oldsman, paulb and joserivas in regards to the group buy. Absolutely none from sburke. I want these guys to hear the answers first hand from bodykits.
3)I think back on comments he made to me saying if I have to trailer my car it will be there. Why would you need to trailer your car on a 6 hour drive unless it's broke?
I personally am putting my money on joserivas to be the donor car when he comes back in May. That's just me though guys, I'm the one getting all the PM's and emails in regards to the group buy. I have to sift thru all the BS and that is what I am doing right now, sifting and eliminating. There are a few on here that understand the facts as stated.
In regards to the 1.5 inches, I've answered that question before. It is No problem.
That is all.
Nuts out

hang in there. If I get my trans finished this weekend as I'm suspecting, and I can make the 12's or better in the 1/4 as I'm suspecting, I'll hook it up. If I don't get everything tuned to my liking first though, it's a no-go. But at least I'm not going to give a full-on committment. There's a few "If's" in there for a reason.

There has to be if's in there. As for the 12's, I don't feel that you would attempt it if you could not accomplish the task. By the way I saw a picture of you on the net, how do you fit in an Alero? You are not a small guy and for those that have not seen the picture, it is all muscle.
Good Luck on the 12's!!!!!!!!!!!

How do I fit in an Alero? I'm not that tall...I'm only 5'7" but I weigh 230. Just can't have any passengers in the front seat Maybe that's why the electric motors on my seats are going out? j/k man
thanks for the GL bro!

I'm not even going to fight this one very long.
First - Bodykits is wrong, I have emailed them, I had to register on their website just to do it.
Second - I have said since day one I do not care what they do to my car, I just want the project underway as quickly as possible. You told me to wait and contact them. I have informed you that I am having trouble with that. It seems the logical thing to do would be to do what I asked and give me a date. I do not need to speak with them to make this happen other than the day I drop off my car.
So sift through these facts if we are going to be smartasses about this.
1. I have a alero and am closer than anyone else
2. I can have it there within a month of notification from YOU with the possibility of getting it there the first weekend after I am contacted
3. I can not get in touch with bodykits.
4. You can
Facts + Common Sense = solution
Call them - set up a tentative date - call me make sure I can get the car there - call them back confirm - 6 to 8 weeks later everyone is happy and you aren't wasting your time on countless messages and PMs.

Since people on here want to question my integrity, this proves when I registered and this is the only email I have ever received from this company.

Just because you registered at their online store, doesn't mean you sent an email to them. Post a screenshot of your emails sent log showing one asking your questions. You do not need to register at their site to send an email to them. I have sent them emails and never registered. The othe odd thing is that I gave you Aldo's email address previously many weeks ago.
Why can you not contact bodykits, I have no problem getting thru, nor has anyone else.
You are the one who said you would contact them and ask questions, I am not your babysitter.
Is your car driveable at this point? Why were you talking about trailering a stock Alero?

So it seems the simple solution would be this. Oldnut, just call them and set up a date 5 or 6 weeks out. Sburke said he'd take it, he just can't get ahold of them for whatever reason.
So say April 12th or something the car will be there and it'll be on him to get it out there on April 12th...just make sure that date is good with bodykits first.

This would have been done already but this guy keeps changing his story, disappears for weeks, won't respond to PM's or emails. Not even sure if his car is driveable, The guys at bodykits don't want to be pushing his car around the warehouse and lots.
He originally said he would give us the dates it would be there and now switching and saying to schedule it. Wish he would make up his mind.
I also find it hilarious that he says to contact BJ to get hold of him. Since when is BJ someones personal secretary?

You want me to open that can of worms for you, or do you want to just show the screen shots of the opened email, forward the originals and maybe post telephone records? Nobody was questioning your integrity, they were simply offering you a chance to back your word up with solid proof. We're on the internet. These people don't know anything about the real you. This is an important event to them. Of course there's going to be some skepticism
I'd expect someone to check up on me if I was handling something that was this important to everyone involved, with this much total money riding on the deal.
Just show em and shut em all up, old buddy, just like we used to do in the old days.

Unless you have something to add to the by, don't post. Nobody needs your crap.
Joserivas has already committed to be a donor if it doesn't happen by the time he gets back from his little Sub tour in May. Hell bodykits already has his money in hand if it goes now.

I believe it will go through.... I'm just hoping it goes through soon so people have their cars for ASS '08. I'd love to see the kits in person.
