I never went through my ricer phase, the closest I came was putting some cheap halo lights on my truck. but it was built and had no stickers..

Chris keeps it specifically for this reason, Papa Rad. I remember when I painted my interior black and blue.... I had a bunch of people telling me I'm going to regret it and stuff... And sure enough, I did, and I still do.
Every year I want to go to ASS, but life DOES get in the way... Anyone can plan to go, but sometimes things come up... Not making it this year. New baby on the way in a few weeks (CAN'T WAIT!!!) and car is really suffering right now... I'm bettin' I'll be spending alomst $1000 to get her fixed, and I'm NOT looking forward to it...

my ricer phrase was when i painted my interior red. i immediately stopped, but i still actually do get compliments on it haha
but it comes down to "to each his own".
Period. Point. Blank.

I remember not too long ago I was bashed for thinking of painting my mirrors and molding on the doors a different color than the body. Aparently originality is not looked on too good here.

Originality is fine; things that are KNOWN to be STUPID or HORRIBLE-LOOKING are looked down upon!
Just because it's "unique" does not mean that it's "good!" How the hell do people not understand this? Are you that dense? You think putting fake badges on a car is COOL?
Painting your car orange and green and blue and having half steelies and half 20" chrome wheels along with semi-truck exhaust stacks is unique too but you can bet your ass no one will praise you for doing it!

Junior, You've been on here like what a week and you say "that's why people don't go to ASS" You've never been to an ASS show, and you probably never will. You have a stock car, although clean, you will NOT win first place, just due to hose badges on the trunk lid.
So you have NO CLUE what a 60 foot time is, and your 100% stock Alero has a 0-60 of 6.5 seconds? And a 1/4 mile time of roughly 14.5. Ummm, no it doesn't. Do you have proof that the car runs 6.5 0-60?
I run 14.5 in the 1/4 with my Alero which IS a 6.5 zero 60 time. I have a lot of bolt ons done to my car, you don't. So my mods made my car the same speed as yours?
OK so since you put badges on your car, your fast? No mods, and going agaisnt ALL SCIENCE
You are a ricer, most car guys go thru this phase. It's OK, your young and SOO COOL. But I really want to see that vid of you getting smoked by a minivan on youtube soon

He posted something about people not comming to ASS because we rip on a guy trying to be "different"
Being different would be modding an Alero in the first place, Turbo and s/c is good too, but a little bit more expensive and involved than buying some badges on eBay

I said the thing about ASS because maybe for some people not going (mine is cuz i am barely affording gas let alone a trip outta state) is because they get intimidated. They want to learn about cars and this was me and still is me. But sometimes people like me are afraid to ask or say something because we know that if we do, it will end up being a big bashing session on the noob who doesnt know how to wire a radio or who mistakes "cia" for "cai"
So, why take a trip and spend on this money to get bashed on and feel like shit.
And i know that we a family because not many people enjoy the alero as much as we all do, and you say in person your nicer, but why cant the hazing be put to rest?

I am pretty sure it was Williamleo that was ragging on ASS and not the guy that started the post
EDIT
SPC- some of the time you have to learn that people are just giving you crap and to not take everything so personally...life is a lot less fun if you go through it being completely serious about every little thing
