You can also wire in a resistor into your DRL line to bring the power of the bulb up to 100% all the time which will eliminate the flicker.

Sucks to be honest I was all happy thinking I could add HID so easily I should have known.

Hmmm... it only took me 40 minutes to do it. The hardest part was mounting the ballast so it won't move around.
